News
The main real life sports
news in the past couple of weeks has been the
Ryder Cup (well certainly for Europeans, perhaps
not for Americans). As a Sky Sports subscriber I
was able to watch far too much of it on TV. I do
find that the format makes for a wonderful
sporting event, the ever changing leaderboard
making the whole event tense and exciting.
Obviously I enjoyed this year's event enormously
as Europe won, and perhaps there may be an
extension set for Lambourne's Ryder Cup game in
the near future. I have replayed a couple of Ryder
Cups with the game, and it is great fun to play.
One reason for including this piece of news in
this issue (apart from gloating of course), is
that in the first issue of ERR in October 2002,
the news section contained a piece on, yes you've
guessed it, Europe winning the Ryder Cup. It would
be ncie to think that ERR will still be around in
2 years time for the next Ryder Cup.
